Selangor state assembly to sit Aug 23 – Sept 6

SUBANG JAYA, July 9 – The Selangor State Legislative Assembly will start sitting this Aug 23 – Sept 6, Menteri Besar Datuk Amirudin Shari said today.

This is in line with the decree of the King, Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah who had consented to the assembly and also the Sultan of Selangor, Sharafuddin Idrish Shah who had given consent to the assembly.

Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has also consented to grace and officiate the opening of the assembly on Monday, Aug 23, the Menteri Besar said.

The sitting will be the first meeting of the 4th term of the 14th Selangor State Legislative Assembly. The senate sessions will be held from Aug 24 to 27, Aug 30, Sept 1-3 and Sept 6.

The eight-day sitting will be a normal session with the usual question and answer section, and debate which will allow for Senate Members to voice their feedback, suggestions on the state’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, he said.
