PUTRAJAYA, Sept 8 – The Klang Valley, namely Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya will be moving into Phase 2 of the Covid-19 National Recovery Plan (NRP) effective this Friday, Sept 10.

The three states had been recording the highest number of the Covid-19 virus infections and have been in Phase 1 of the NRP where, among others, its residents were not allowed to do any inter-district or state district travels.

While the restriction on inter-state travel will still stay, inter-district travel and several other restrictions have been loosened for those who have completed their vaccinations, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced in a statement today.

The flexibilities accorded for those who have had both doses of vaccine will be interstate travel for married couples living in different states, while parents will be allowed to visit their young children in another state.

Dine-in as well as tourism within the state involving hotel bookings and homestay will be also allowed for those fully vaccinated.

There will be no police blocks in the three states and as they have been categorised as one zone of infection, travel between the three states will be allowed.

All the flexibilities provided are subjected to the adherence of the standard operating procedures set out by the National Security Council for phase two of the NRP.

Further details of the new flexibilities including on sporting activities and the regula SOPs can be found at the NSC website at https://www.mkn.gov.my/
