Special Olympics In Berlin Ends On High Note

BERLIN, June 26 – The week-long Special Olympics World Games ended on a high note here Sunday evening, with athletes, coaches, supporters, volunteers and spectators coming together to watch a final event of appreciation and amazing display of fireworks at the games venue.

The Malaysian athletes, those who won medals and those placed from 4th to 7th spots, expressed their happiness, saying how inspired they were to have participated in the games. Malaysia’s medal tally included 4 gold, 5 silver, 9 bronze while the number of athletes placed at 4th spot were 2, 5th place 5, 6th place 1 and 7th place 1.

The Malaysian team was led by Dr. Sivanesan Govindasamy to the event.
