KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 – Former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was detained at 1pm today and will be charged in court tomorrow, Friday March 10, a statement released by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission said here today.

Confirming his arrest, the MACC said the Bersatu party president was detained after he had arrived at the MACC headquarters to give his statement as part of final investigations into the Jana Wibawa project and related issues.

Meanwhile, National News Agency BERNAMA reported Chief Commissioner of MACC, Tan Sri Azam Baki saying that Muhyiddin had been released on bail by MACC at 8.20pm today.

He is expected to charged in a court here tomorrow.
