KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 – Kind Malaysia, a unique exhibition that features the works of humanitarian bodies, non governmental organisations and voluntary organisations and the opportunities for the private and public sector to collaborate in the efforts towards the betterment of humankind, will be back with its third edition this March.

To be held at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from March 2-3, the event is aimed at mobilising civil society and the corporate sector to champion kindness, a recent press release issued by the organising committee said.

More than 3,000 visitors are expected to attend the 2-day expo, which was held virtually in 2021 due to the pandemic.

“This distinctive event aims to connect people from all walks of life including responsible corporations, civil organisations, non-profit organisations, small-to medium size enterprises, as well as individuals, to meet with the aim of sharing, inspiring and recognising the need to work together through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives,” the statement said.

The Kind Malaysia expo to run from March 2-3 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

“Themed “Kindness Unites Humanity”, the event will particularly delve into the great importance that kindness plays to bond humanity, and its relevance and impact, even in today’s modern society and culture. This will be achieved through the concerted coming together of prominent individuals and organisations at the event, which will feature high-level keynotes, seminars, experience sharing, educational content and relationship building initiatives.”

Participants will also get the chance to stay on the pulse of the latest in humanitarian innovations and the best current practices currently being employed.

Speaking at the announcement of the new advisory board, Tan Sri Asmat bin Kamaludin, who will helm the board, expressed confidence of continued success for the expo.

“Due to the pandemic, the second edition of Kind Malaysia was held virtually in 2021. Despite this, the event drew over 3,000 participants and featured over 50 local NGOs and corporates. Following the success of the virtual format, we look forward to this year’s physical exhibition. In the face of adversity, we’ve seen the true spirit of humanity shine through kindness. And so, we hope to continue this initiative as a platform for visitors and participants to forge meaningful relationships, explore possibilities for collaborations and all-in-all, working towards the betterment of society”.

The exhibition is estimated to have around 80 exhibitors, including charitable organisations, corporates, international relations organisations, social welfare organisations, as well as trade and welfare associations.

For those wishing to explore volunteer work opportunities, the expo would be also a suitable avenue for them to check out the various organisations that serve various causes in the country and internationally.
