SHAH ALAM, Sept 16 – More than 100 delivery workers in the Sri Muda area had a pleasant surprise recently when they turned up to fill their motorbikes with fuel before going on their food delivery business.
They were greeted by voluntary staff from the youth wing of the Kota Kemuning Assemblyman’s office who went on to fill up their vehicles with free petrol at the Petron Taman Sri Muda station as part of the young people’s social services for the people in the area.
Sponsored by Kota Kemuning Assemblyman Ganabatirau Veraman, the free petrol offer is one way to help the B40 group of people in the residential area, said Nathindran, who heads the Penggerak Belia Selangor Dun Kota Kemuning.
Nathindran said they were looking at practical ways to help ease the burden of rising fuel costs for those doing delivery service.
“We expect to bring this service to other areas as well,” said Nathindran, after serving a young delivery rider who had his motorcycle filled with petrol for the day.
