Arsenal’s Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes brought an early lead with a header to the bottom left corner in the fourth minute at Anfield.
Egyptian star Mohamed Salah’s shot to the top right corner leveled the score in the 29th minute.
The Reds kept the pressure on at home until the end of the game but couldn’t take the lead.
The Gunners are at the top spot of the standings with 40 points, followed by Liverpool with 39 points.
Meanwhile, West Ham United beat Manchester United 2-0 on Saturday.
West Ham’s good play at home field came to fruition in the 72nd minute as English attacker Jarrod Bowen scored with a shot to the bottom right corner.
Just six minutes later, Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus’ shot to the same spot made it 2-0 at London Stadium.
With this result, the Red Devils suffered their eighth loss in the Premier League and fell to the 8th spot with 28 points.
