KUALA LUMPUR, July 20: Zoom Communications Inc has appointed Carlos Quaderi as head of Asia-Pacific, effective Aug 1, placing him in charge of markets including Malaysia.
Quaderi will oversee Zoom’s operations across Asia, Australia and New Zealand, India and South Korea, excluding Japan, and report to chief sales and growth officer Graeme Geddes.
Currently Zoom’s head of Asia, he will lead the company’s regional go-to-market strategy, focusing on customer experience solutions, small and medium-sized businesses and channel expansion.
Geddes said the appointment reflected Zoom’s continued investment in Asia-Pacific as a key growth market.
Quaderi said businesses increasingly needed technology that could support faster execution without losing the human element.
“I’m excited to work alongside our customers and partners in the region to help them unlock new possibilities,” he said.
Quaderi has more than 30 years of experience and previously held senior roles at Workday, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft.
Zoom said it would continue expanding its partner ecosystem and regional presence as organisations adopt more integrated AI-powered workplace platforms.
