PUCHONG, Aug 12: Many voters, young and old, turned up early at the Sekolah Menengah Bandar Puchong Jaya here to cast their votes for the Kinrara state seat.

Amid a slightly hazy, cool weather and a hint of rain ahead, a steady stream of voters were seen making their way to the school’s classrooms, located on a slightly elevated land, to perform their duty of choosing their assemblyman.

DAP’s Ng Sze Han is defending the seat here, while Perikatan Nasional’s Wong Yong Kang is the other contestant.

A total of 3,190 polling centres throughout the six states, where elections are being held, opened at 8 this morning. Voters have been advised by the Election Commission to cast their ballots early.
