PETALING JAYA, Dec 3: The Strollers, one of Malaysia top pop bands in the late 1960s and early 70s, today showed that they can still rock after playing together musically for 50 years!
Almost 300 fans, mostly in their 60s and 70s, thronged a pub at Jaya One here to see their favourite local band play some of its hit songs in an event that also marked the launch of a new album comprising new and old material.
Legendary DJ Patrick Teoh started the ball rolling by introducing the band members, including some new replacements, who then began singing a medley of their old hits ‘Do What You Gotta Do”, “Just As I Am” and “Silly Joke”.
The Strollers showed that they are still a force to be reckoned with their strong vocals and musical consistency as many fans swayed and danced to their favourite songs at the packed event.
