PUTRAJAYA, July 6 – The state of Selangor accounted close to half of the new COVID-19 cases reported in the country overnight.
In its daily report, the Health Ministry reported 7,654 new cases with Selangor alone accounting for 3,260 cases.
The figures also raised the total number of infections in the country to 792,693 while Selangor’s total cases have now gone up to 265,722.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Adham Baba reported that a record 313,761 people were also vaccinated on Monday, July 5, the highest daily figure reached under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
With this, a total of 6,585,002 people have received their first dose of vaccine while 2,735,474 people have had both their doses.
