PUTRAJAYA, July 13 – A vaccination centre in Shah Alam, Ideal Convention Center (IDCC), was closed today following the identification of a positive case of COVID-19 among the officers at the PPV.
In its Facebook posting today, the Ministry of Health said the decision to shut down the centre for a day was taken by the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) immediately following the positive test result of the staff who had been infected.
The closing of the centre is to facilitate sanitisation of the centre.
As an added precautionary move, the CITF has also called on those who had been at the centre for vaccination between June 29 and July 12 to self assess for any signs of infection or go through a COVID-19 screening.
Those who came in for vaccination at the IDCC Shah Alam on the 9th, 10th, 11 and 12 July have been also advised to self-assess for 10 days.
A different date for appointment will given to those involved, the CITF statement said, adding that information will be also updated from time to time on the matter.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Datuk Seri Adham Baba said a record number of vaccine doses at 421,479 doses were administered to the people in the country on Sunday, July 12.
A total of 264,034 took their first doses while another 157,445 received their second dose.
