PH run states to focus on economy not elections for now

KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 – The Pakatan Harapan ruled states of Selangor, Pulau Pinang and Negeri Sembilan will focus on recovering the economies of the people and the respective states and will not look at dissolving its state assemblies to hold any elections till the term ends in 2023.

In a statement issued today, the PH Presidential Council comprising Keadilan President Anwar Ibrahim, Amanah President Hj Mohamad Sabu and DAP Secretary General Lim Guan Eng, said the decision was based considering that the people were still overcoming the economic difficulties posed by the recent floods, the Covid-19 pandemic, the loss of income and the increasing cost of living.

The government of these states will focus on the economic well being of the people and the state for now, they reiterated.
