North Korea launches another ballistic missile towards Sea of Japan

MOSCOW, Dec 18: North Korea has launched an unidentified ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan, Sputnik quoted the Yonhap news agency report on Monday.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff did not provide any details, the report noted.

On Sunday, the news agency reported that North Korea fired a short-range missile that flew 570 kilometres and fell into the Sea of Japan.

Meanwhile, in Tokyo, the Japanese Defence Ministry said the recently launched North Korean ballistic missile was expected to fall at 9.37am local time (0037 GMT) outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone, the NHK broadcaster reported on Monday.

Presumably, the missile was fired at 2324 GMT on a lofted trajectory and is expected to fall near the northern island of Hokkaido.
