NetApp makes new hires to stay ahead of the game

KUALA LUMPUR, May 7: NetApp, an international intelligent data infrastructure company, continues to make new hires to build upon its leadership position in the hybrid cloud and all-flash domains.

In a statement, the company announced that Henry Kho (centre) is the new area vice president and general manager for its business in ASEAN, Greater China and South Korea (GCASK).

In his new role, Kho is responsible for driving the company’s overall business strategy and leading its go-to-market activities in this region. His priorities include strengthening NetApp’s partner ecosystem and reinforcing its leadership in the hybrid cloud and all-flash domains.

“GCASK is a region marked by its vast diversity and growth. With Henry leading the charge, I am confident we will solidify our standing as the intelligent data infrastructure company in the region, empowering our customers to leverage data simply, securely, and sustainably across their entire estate,” said NetApp Asia Pacific senior vice president and general manager Andrew Sotiropoulos.

Meanwhile, Kho expressed that he was ‘thrilled’ to join the company, more so since AI adoption is rapidly accelerating.

“Together with the talented teams across the region, I am committed to helping our customers optimise their data infrastructure and unlock their data’s full potential to drive productivity, innovation and impactful business outcomes.”

Kho brings over two decades of experience in the technology industry, coupled with a background in leading regional teams and forging strategic partnerships.

His appointment follows on the heels of NetApp having appointed Sheraine Chua (left) as its senior director for ASEAN, and Alwyn David (right) as country manager for NetApp Malaysia earlier this year.
