MRT PY Line From Kwasa Damansara to Putrajaya Serving 36 Stations Begins Today

In his speech at the launch of MRT PY Line Phase Two, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook commended the service operator Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, as well announced the introduction of the PULSE 2.0 application today, March 16. He said the application with its more user friendly features is expected to provide passengers a more pleasant rail travel experience.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 – A total of 36 stations on the 2nd Phase of the MRT Putrajaya Line (PY Line) from Kwasa Damansara to Putrajaya will start serving passengers travelling on this route effective today following its launch by Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook in Serdang.

Calling it a mobility solution, the minister said the service will add on to the country’s achievement in raising its rail transportation system to ensure greater mobility for the people while raising productivity and driving the nation’s economy.

He said the opening of the completed PY Line covering total of 57.7 km, will offer key transportation service for the people in Klang Valley, where traffic congestion, especially during the peak hours, affect productivity and compromise on the quality of life.

The line, which will traverse Kuala Lumpur city will take people about 45 minutes to travel to the city from either end of the line, he said.
