MOSCOW, Aug 12 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) — British authorities have banned the wearing of Meta glasses with AI and video recording features in courthouses in England and Wales, the His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) said, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
“There are clear restrictions on taking images or videos within courts and tribunals which is why the use of Meta glasses is prohibited,” a HMCTS official was quoted as saying by The Guardian newspaper on Tuesday.
According to an official who declined to be named, “users who bring Meta glasses into courts or tribunals will have them confiscated on entry and they will be returned when the owner leaves the building.”
