MACC Arrests Former TH Chairman, Ex-Treasury Secretary-General: TH RCI

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 (Bernama) — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested a former chairman of the Tabung Haji (TH) Board and a former secretary-general of the Treasury to assist in investigations into issues raised in the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) Report on Tabung Haji.

The MACC, in a post on the agency’s official TikTok social media, announced that the two men, aged in their 60s, were arrested at about 4 pm today when they appeared at the MACC Putrajaya headquarters.

“They are expected to be brought to the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court for a remand application tomorrow,” the post said.

Meanwhile, MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman when contacted confirmed the arrests.

On August 15, MACC arrested seven individuals consisting of a chief executive officer (CEO), a company director, a former company director and four former senior management of TH.
