KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18: Passengers travelling the LRT Ampang/Sri Petaling line will no longer have to get down at the LRT Bandaraya station and travel by a feeder bus to the next stop, LRT Masjid Jamek station, and vice versa as repairs on some structural damages on the route have been completed.

Announcing this “good news from MyRapid KL” in his Facebook posting today, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said passengers will no longer have to get down from the affected station and use a feeder service to the next station to continue with their journey.

The structural damage was detected a year ago, and passengers’ train travel between the two stations on the route would be interrupted for them to take a feeder bus and carry on with the train journey at the next station.

The damages have been been fully repaired, Loke said. The return of the uninterrupted LRT service became effective Saturday, February 17.
