PUTRAJAYA, Dec 17 – The National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) has released a list of names of those who died in the Batang Kali landslide as well as those who had been injured. A total of 24 people have died in the tragedy with two more bodies found today.

The list, prepared by the Health Ministry, also indicates those who are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital and those who have been discharged.

The first six names in the list are from a total of 21 fatalities recorded yesterday. Five of them were women while one victim was a nine-year old boy. The six had been identified by a family member or through finger printing. Other methods of identification are being carried out on the remaining victims.

Another eight names in the list are those who had been injured and treated in hospital.

Meanwhile, two other bodies were found during the second day of search and rescue mission at the landslide site today. While hope is diminishing for the remaining who are missing, the SAR is ongoing.
