PETALING JAYA, March 7: The 7C Life Realisation Centre here and Lotus Malaysia have come together to organise several activities in conjunction with the annual Mahashivarathri celebration, starting this Friday, March 8.
In a statement issued today, 7C said the celebration will begin on the evening of March 8, Friday around six and will go on till the next morning, Saturday, March 9.
Considered one of the most auspicious and significant festivals for Hindus worldwide, Mahashivarathri is a celebration of the Hindu deity, Lord Shiva, to whom the origin of the Yogic tradition is attributed to.
As the event will involve devotees staying awake the whole night, various programmes will be held to help the participants stay awake. These would include musical performances from various groups.
Organised by 7C Life and Lotus Malaysia, the celebration will be held at the Geeta Ashram Malaysia in Lorong Utara here and is open to those keen to join in.
