Train incident involving Kelana Jaya line leaves passengers injured

KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 – The social media has been rife with reports of an accident involving two LRT trains heading for the Kampung Baru station from KLCC.

Video clips have been circulated showing injured passengers on board the said trains. They are seen crying in pain.

Meanwhile, RapidKL announced in its Twitter account that its Kelana Jaya line was experiencing a problem. It said an incident has occurred along its Kelana Jaya line, involving trains number 40 and 81.

“Our team is mobilising help and rescue assistance right now. Please stay calm and follow instructions,” it said.

Meanwhile, messages on Whatsapp and Twitter accounts say the incident happened around 9pm and that it took place at the KLCC underground area.
