New COVID-19 cases still a high 7,748

PUTRAJAYA, June 4 – As of today, a total of 7,748 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country, increasing the overall number of COVID-19 illnesses to 603,122.

According to the daily posting on the Health Ministry’s facebook, the recovery cases have also increased as well with 6,624, totaling up to 515,57.

Compared to the number of deaths recorded yesterday with a whopping number of 126 deaths, today’s death figure was at 86 bringing to total of 3,182 deaths in Malaysia.

There are 883 patients who are currently in the Intensive Care Unit, while 459 patients are on ventilators.

The ministry continues to remind people to follow all the standard operating procedures that have been implemented, two of which include undergoing self-lockdown and to avoid mass gathering in order to break the ongoing chain of the Covid-19 virus.
