New COVID-19 cases ease to 4,949

PUTRAJAYA, June 14 – The number of new COVID-19 cases in the country was 4,949 today, a decrease from yesterday’s 5,304 cases reported.

In the past few days, the number of recoveries have also exceeded that of new cases, with Sunday’s recoveries amounting to 8,163.

The Ministry of Health in updating the status of the COVID-19 situation today said Selangor continued to see the highest number of cases with 1,523 cases followed by Sarawak with 744 cases.

Meanwhile, the Special Committee On COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) announced the start of vaccine operations at the MINES International Exhibition & Convention Centre in its Twitter account.

It said a total of 5,000 appointments had been scheduled at the centre today. This PPV can vaccinate up to 10,000 per day.

As of Sunday, June 13, a total of 13,789,736 have registered for vaccination. A total of 3,132,304 are already vaccinated
