More than 5 mln Malaysians have taken first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 – More than five million people in Malaysia have taken the first dose of their COVID-19 vaccine as of June 25, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Adham Baba siad.

A total of 7,039,072 doses have been administered including the 215,968 doses administered on Friday, he said in his Twitter posting.

A total of 5,072,714 people have taken their first dose, while 1,966,358 people have received their second boost to fight the COVID-19 virus.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health reported on Friday that another 82 people had succumbed to the virus, bringing the total deaths in the country to 4,803.
