Ministry reports 4,855 new cases, 27 deaths from COVID-19

PUTRAJAYA, May 13 – A total of 4,855 new COVID-19 cases were reported today in Malaysia. A total of 27 people were also reported to have died from the viral infection, bringing the total number of deaths in the county to 1,888.

The Ministry of Health in its Facebook today also announced that the highest death cases came from Selangor with 8, followed by 5 in Johor and Kelantan 3. Three people were also brought dead, it said.

A total of 3,347 recoveries were reported on Thursday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 414,707.

From today’s cases, three were imported cases. A total of 481 people are being treated in the Intensive Care Units with 247 of them on ventilators.

Meanwhile, in his twitter, Minister of Health, Dr Adham Baba updated that a total of 1,182,133 people have taken their first dose of vaccination.
