Ministry reports 3 COVID-19 deaths, 1,638 new cases

PUTRAJAYA, April 4 – Malaysia recorded 1,638 new positive COVID-19 cases and three deaths as of Saturday, April 3.

Announcing this in its Twitter account, the Ministry of Health said the number of confirmed cases now stood at 349,610, while recoveries amounted to 333,892 and deaths rose to 1,286.

Malaysia will enter its second phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme on April 17.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said all efforts will be taken to intensify the registration for vaccination and this will be done through various channels including the ministry’s website and the MySejahtera application.
