KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 – While biker Than Hock Ying has returned home from his recent biking tour of several countries, he could not help but recall how beautiful the places he had been were – particularly the “heavenly” valleys and mountains in northern Pakistan where he and his biker friends had toured in early October last year.

“The places were amazing, the weather pleasant and the people were friendly and very helpful towards tourists. We travelled from Islamabad and covered places like Attabad lake, the view point of K2 Mountain, which is the second highest in the world and in the Karakoram range, partially in the Gilgit-Baltistan region.

“We also travelled to Lulusen Lake, Passu and towards the Chinese border…such natural and heavenly beautiful places,” said Than, adding that there was another side to the travel as well.

“There were areas that were barren and dusty, and the people were very poor… but they were lovely people and this is one country that must be visited,” he said when sharing his travel photos with Weekly Echo recently.
