KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 – An officer of Prasarana Malaysia Bhd has described the ongoing shutdown in its light rail transit (LRT) service from the Kelana Jaya train station to the Ampang train station as a super crisis.

This was the only response given to a service user who had called to find out on the status of the train service, which had also experienced a service disruption on Monday.

Today, passengers were seen waiting from 3pm to board their train either at the the Kelana Jaya bound train platform or at the platform for the Gombak bound train at the KL Sentral station.

As the crowd got bigger and restless and no trains were on sight, some people started to make their queries on how long the delay would be.

At first they were told that there were delays but by 3.30 announcements were made that there would be no service of trains heading to Kelana Jaya from KL and vice versa due to some technical issues. They were also later advised to take alternate form of transport or the free feeder bus services that were provided.

As of Tuesday evening, there has been no confirmation of when the services would resume.
