Lockdown still on, says Muhyiddin

PUTRAJAYA, June 27 – The ongoing Movement Control Order 3.0 (MCO.3) will not be lifted tomorrow, June 28, Malaysian national news agency, Bernama reported today.

Quoting a statement from Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin Sunday, the agency said that the nationwide lockdown will not end on Monday, but that it will continue until the number of daily COVID-19 cases come down below 4,000.

Muhyiddin also said that the government will be announcing more help to people from all groups of society either Monday or Tuesday.

With the announcement, the country would have now have gone into a total lockdown for more than a month, with many areas of businesses seeing the closure of their operations for the same period. During the lockdown, only essential services have been operating.
