Japan’s former PM Shinzo Abe shot, gravely injured

TOKYO, July 8 – Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is reported to have been shot during an election campaign, local media here have reported.

He is believed to have been gravely injured in the incident reported Nikkei Asia.

According to another local media, he is said to have suffered a cardiac arrest following the attack and is currently in a hospital.

He is not showing any vital signs after sustaining the gun-shot wound, another media reported.
