PETALING JAYA, May 8: More government agencies and private sector firms have been urged to explore the potential for offering their services through the Madani Touch Screen Kiosk.

Making this call at the launch of another Sentuhan Madani Kiosk at a shopping complex here today, Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said the kiosk service warranted some attention considering that other agencies offering services through the kiosk, such as the Companies Commission of Malaysia, Pos Malaysia and TM Unifi now have the capacities to integrate third party services into their operating systems.

Speaking at the launch of the third Sentuhan MADANI kiosk at the 1 Utama shopping complex here, Gobind said more than 100 government agencies’ and private sector services can be currently accessed through the Sentuhan Madani kiosk sucha s applications for official documents, opening of accounts as well as bill payments.

Since its introduction in January 2025, many agencies have expressed their intent to participate and make a success of this initiative from the government, he said.

At the KL Sentral, the first kiosk offering ASNB services was introduced, while in 1 Utama today, TM Unifi made its debut, expandig its services to the people.

The Sentuhan Madani kiosk is part of the government’s initiative under the 2025 Budget to expand the people’s access to public services with its longer operating hours.

Chief Secretary of the government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, who was also present at the launch said that the kiosk was among initiatives taken to improve the delivery of public services to the people in the current digital era including making payments through their debit cards.

Since the launch of the first kiosk by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim in January this year in Alamanda, Putrajaya and the second in Sentral Station, Kuala Lumpur, the number of users have also increased.

The kiosk in Alamanda has seen a 40 percent rise in users from 4,600 in January to 6,600 users by March, while in KL Sentral the number of users has reached 5,000 within the first month of launch.

This is reflective of the usefulness of the service to the people, Gobind said, adding that the government was committed to expanding the kiosk service nationwide.
