KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6: The deadline for Yayasan SALAM Malaysia’s Explorace/Treasure Hunt in collaboration with Memorial Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra (MTARP) has been extended to 7.15 am on Sunday, Feb 8, 2026, due to popular demand.
The organisers said in a statement today that some would-be participants had indicated they encountered difficulties in registering their participation online. The original deadline was 11.59 pm on Friday, Feb 6.
With the extension, they can still scan their entries via the QR code or walk in with their entries well before the Explorace/Treasure Hunt starts at 8.15 am on Sunday.
The event will take place at MTARP, Jalan Dato Onn, 50480 Kuala Lumpur (behind Bank Negara Malaysia and opposite Sasana Kijang), on Sunday, 8 February, starting at 7.45 a.m.
The opening ceremony will feature the raising of the Jalur Gemilang, the singing of the Negaraku, and the recitation of the Rukunegara by participants at “The Granite”, a symbolic raised area located between MTARP and the Memorial Tun Hussein Onn within the same complex.
MTARP functions as a unit under the National Archives Department, Ministry of National Unity. The choice of date and venue carries deep significance. It commemorates the 123rd anniversary of the birth of YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman Al Haj, Malaysia’s beloved Father of Independence, whose enduring legacy of goodwill, unity, and harmony continues to inspire the nation.
The Explorace/Treasure Hunt is designed to foster the spirit of unity by requiring teams to comprise participants of different races, encouraging shared collaboration, discovery, and friendship.
