Anwar: Unless serious flaws detected, there is no intention to alter previous govenment’s plans

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 24 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said his unity government had no intention of disturbing any development plans that had been put in by the previous government, unless serious flaws are detected in the plans.

The prime minister who is in Brunei Darussalam on a two-day official visit, said this in response to a question raised at at an interview session event held in Bandar Seri Begawan this evening during a dinner programme with the Malaysian diaspora in Brunei. The event was streamed live via the prime minister’s Facebook.

Earlier, Anwar had posted on his Facebook that he and his wife, Datuk Dr.Wan Azizah arrived at the Brunei capital with a delegation that included Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato’ Seri Diraja Zambry Abd Kadir, Premier of Sarawak, Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Noor.

The prime minister was welcomed by the Crown Prince of Brunei, who is also Senior Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah.

He is scheduled for an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien at Nurul Iman Palace.

Anwar expressed hope that his visit will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries besides exploring new opportunities for cooperation.
