
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today received a courtesy call from Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs and External Trade Minister, Xavier Bettel, at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya.
In a Facebook post, Anwar said the meeting discussed efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
“We are determined to continue enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, finance and logistics,” he said.
Also discussed were efforts to strengthen cooperation through the European Union framework for the benefit of both countries.
The Prime Minister said they also exchanged views on regional and international developments, including Malaysia’s role as ASEAN Chair and the situation in the Middle East, particularly Palestine.
Bettel’s visit to Malaysia is his first since being appointed to the post in 2023.
