Actor Kamal Haasan admitted in hospital after testing positive for Covid-19

CHENNAI, Nov 23 – Popular Indian actor Kamal Haasan has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC), a press statement released by the SRMC on Monday said.

Earlier on Monday, Kamal via his Twitter account said that he had a slight cough after having returned from Chicago, US. “Following a test it was confirmed that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have isolated myself in the hospital. Request everyone to be careful… the spread of the virus hasn’t stopped.”

The SRMC said Kamal had been admitted for “the complaints of lower respiratory tract infection and fever. He is on medical management and his condition is stableā€.

Kamal, who was in the US to launch his new fashion wear, had continued to host the Big Boss Tamil programme on Vijay TV over the weekend.
