HYDERABAD, April 10 (Bernama) — Kuala Lumpur-based Sutra Foundation held an art show in four Indian cities to promote cultural interactions between India and Malaysia.
The travelling exhibition “Let a Thousand Flowers Bloom” featured works of 21 artists from Bhubaneswar, Chennai and Kuala Lumpur.
It celebrated “the presence of Odissi in Malaysia for the last four decades”, said Sutra founder and Malaysia’s Odissi Indian classical dance exponent, Datuk Ramli Ibrahim.
The exhibition travelled to Chennai, Bhubaneswar and Pune before its last leg in India from April 7 to 9 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.
Ramli said the exhibition was “a manifestation of the soft cultural diplomacy borne of individual initiative, with no other agenda than a passionate love for arts and culture”.
It will have its Kuala Lumpur launch at One Bangsar on April 25.
