Nepal PM Sacks Country’s Labour Minister Over Controversies

KATHMANDU, April 9 (Bernama-Xinhua) — Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah on Thursday dismissed Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Deepak Kumar Sah over controversies surrounding him, reported Xinhua.

The prime minister acted on a recommendation from Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, to sack the minister just two weeks after his appointment.

Sah has been accused of using his position to ensure his wife continues to be a member of the Health Insurance Board.
