KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 (Bernama) — Former Chief News Editor of the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), S. Sivaselvam, died at about 3 am today.
His widow, Lalitha S. Nadarajah, said that her husband, better known as Siva, 77, died at their home in Cheras at about 3 am today, after a short illness.
On behalf of the Communications Ministry, Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has extended his condolences to the family.
“His service and contributions to the field of journalism are greatly appreciated and will continue to be remembered. May his soul rest in peace,” Fahmi said in a Facebook post today.
Lalitha, who was also a former Bernama staff member, said Sivaselvam’s remains would be cremated at the Kampung Tunku Crematorium in Petaling Jaya later today.
