On parchment, dates and places were inked
Hoping no one will find out
FIFA, the keepers of the game, blew the whistle
The stadium floodlights went out
The cheers went cold
Hopes turned to horror
Truth dissolved into shame
Fans humming the anthem went silent
They thought the pitch would hide their fraud
So, they bent the rules
Deceit was their game
And thought it was fair play
They wanted instant fame
Integrity and honesty blurred
The country and football fans betrayed
The nation’s crest, now stained
Malaysia has to live with this lie FOREVER!
