KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) — International activists detained aboard a Gaza-bound aid convoy will be deported to Europe after the flotilla was intercepted by Israeli naval forces.

According to Anadolu Ajansi, at least 317 activists from 21 vessels were detained by Israeli forces, the flotilla tracker showed.

The activists on the ships were of various nationalities, including Malaysians, Spaniards, Italians, Brazilians, Turks, Greeks, Americans, Germans, Swedes, British and French citizens, among others.

Media reports said an Israeli Navy vessel ferried the detained activists to Ashdod Port, where deportation procedures will begin on Thursday.

“They will be deported to Europe,” the reports stated.
