KUALA LUMPUR, May 5: Persatuan Patriot Kebangsaan (PPK or Patriots) will celebrate its eighth anniversary at Wisma Perwira near Mindef here on May 17.

PPK was formed by a group of retired military and police officers with the objective of driving positive changes towards a progressive and wholesome Malaysia.

Its objective is to secure a “harmonious, prosperous and progressive Malaysia” based on the three pillars of truth, courage and country.

Retired Brigadier General Dato’ Mohd Arshad Raji led PPK when it was founded. It has since expanded and recently decided to open its doors to Malaysians from all walks of life. The current president is retired Colonel Dato’ Zarazilah Mohd Ali.

PPK steadfastly upholds the words of Tunku Abdul Rahman, the country’s first Prime Minister, who pronounced: “We are Malaysians. This is the bond that unites us. Let us always remember that unity is our fundamental strength as a person and as a nation”.

Patriots, in aiming to create a happy Malaysia through greater national unity and harmony, is also advocating a better system of education to reduce brain drain and achieve high international standards.

Enquiries on the anniversary get-together can be directed at PPK’s office (Julia) at 011 63350517 or Rtd. Major Peter Yeow at 0122100685.
